Pincourt Kitchen-Swedish Door

Ikea cabinets with Swedish Door custom doors and panels take this kitchen to the next level. Beautiful cross bow glass accent doors definitely dress up the Ikea cabinets and compliment the step shaker doors fabricated by Swedish Door. A great way to customize a kitchen without breaking the bank!.

Bathroom - Bessbourough Duplex

This tiny bathroom got a total overhaul! 
A once dysfunctional bathroom with pedestal sink and ZERO storage has been thoughtfully redesigned with the client's budget and personal needs in mind. Full wall to wall Ikea mirror medicine cabinets above the sink and toilet provide ample storage and make the room appear twice its size. The farm style vanity (22") with shelving storage is actually a  cost efficient DIY Ikea hack (butcher block kitchen cart). It was altered slightly and stained a rich walnut to give warmth to the black and white tile palette.  A custom wood bulkhead was built and installed above the medicine cabinets to not only properly position the lights, but also to introduce a second wood element to the new design.
The shower/bath niche was detailed with miniature hexagone tile to compliment the larger hexagone floor tile, while the custom cut quartz niche shelves and vanity counter top provide an elegant finishing touch. The homeowners have a great new bright bathroom with more storage that they had hope for!

Papineau Condo

Newly renovated condo needed the designer touch. My globetrotter client contacted me to personalize her new space and incorporate pieces from her travels and reflect her style. We took a sterile white space and gave it personality by purchasing budget friendly pieces and customizing them with details that are unique to her space.

Kitchen - Bessborough

This Ikea kitchen remodel has transformed an outdated kitchen into a bright functional space filled with much needed accessible storage. Gold hardware and an Aladin pendant fixture over the sink give the White Bodbyn Ikea cabinets a touch of elegance. Soft green Moroccan style tile surrounds the parameter of the kitchen backsplash and serves as backdrop to a decorative wall niche on the opposing wall. Little details like this make a space personal and unique without being over the top.

Telva Construction Project

This staged space is the showroom of a 26-unit Staked Townhouse Condominium project. Converting a generic space into a "home" is the ultimate goal. Potential buyers need to feel welcomed into the home and should allow them to easily picture themselves living in it. Selling the lifestyle, not just the real estate!

What started as a closed, cramped, outdated kitchen was transformed into a fully functioning open kitchen space opening into the dining room, offering great storage, multiple work surfaces, a great sitting island and a special spot specially designated for the client's 4 legged buddy Max. 
IKEA cabinets were used throughout and a talented carpenter collaborated with me to create great drawer façades and sides for the island, giving it the high end custom look the client was seeking.

This lovely one bedroom condo needed a little make over and lots of TLC before listing it on the market. The homeowner invested in my Home Staging services...and voilà! A quick sale and an excellent return on his investment!

Modern Ikea

Removing an existing peninsula and trading up for a storage and a sitting island to provide extra prep space was key in making this kitchen feel less restricted, while ensuring that the traffic flow to the patio doors was not congested. 

The Arabesque back splash tile introduces curves to the otherwise very rigid and straight lines of the modern style cabinets. This, along with the orange palette accent color warms up the kitchen to create an inviting space to enjoy a morning coffee or to prepare a meal for friends and family.

This kitchen can now accommodate more than one chef along with a couple of hungry onlookers!

Staging a home to present it in its best light is the best way to help potential buyers visualize the home's full potential and furniture placement. 

Farmhouse kitchen

Upgrading a kitchen does not always mean a total overhaul. 
This kitchen remodel was all about BUDGET and keeping some of the original wooden features that the new home owner fell in love with.

This once outdated rustic kitchen got a new lease on life by simply refinishing most of the wood cabinets with a fresh coat of white, new black matte hardware, concrete looking laminate counter top, sleek black faucet and sink, new subway tile back splash (to compliment floor tile which was not in the budget to change), modern lighting and neutral color wall paint. 

Keeping some of the existing wood charm and enlisting my talented carpenter to add an accent wooden bulkhead for the three pendant lights, ties the whole look together. Re-purposing the buffet hutch by separating the top and bottom to create a counter top and wall mounted cabinets transformed the furniture into an extension of kitchen cabinet and counter space for the microwave, as space was limited on existing kitchen counter layout. The floating shelf above the fridge was a little added feature that framed the fridge nicely rather than having it look lost in the space. 

The changes were small but the transformation was big.

Home staging - Westwood

This lovely bungalow receive a total renovation by a real estate investor & contractor who needed my help to design an Ikea kitchen plan to fit their newly opened space and to stage the property after all their work throughout the home was complete.
My kitchen design needed to be functional and a neutral palette to appeal to all potential buyers...but needed to have some custom detail that made it stand out from the typical "flip". 
Introducing the floating wood shelves brought warmth to the otherwise cool grey and white tones and tied in well with the new hardwood throughout this home. 
Quality workmanship, timeless design and proper home staging definitely played a key role in finding a new home owner. The house SOLD within days of being put on the market!!!

Kitchen - White Elegance

This kitchen design proved to be a bit challenging as the original kitchen had an angled peninsula and two additional walls to accommodate cabinets. Removing the walls opened the space onto the dining room and living room, allowing for a full main floor open concept. Luckily the large island and wrap around cabinets next to stove area more than made up for the lost cabinet space from the removed walls. Glass cabinets create a focal point above the wine fridge, creating a practical mini bar area. The integrated stove hood and hidden dishwasher keep the lines clean, while the organic veins of the Calacatta Quartz counter tops along with the curves of the Arabesque back splash provide a soft contrast to the rectangular profile of the shaker style cabinet facades. The neutral palette of this kitchen design will lend itself well to any style of furnishings this open concept home will welcome.

Kitchen - condo

Mixing the OLD with the NEW! 
Opening the wall to the dining room was a no brainer! 
Relocating cabinets and replacing the doors was the cost effective way to go, as cabinet boxes were still clean and in excellent condition. A small investment in custom cabinetry for both sides of the stove and a pantry completed the kitchen nicely. Since the budget did not permit me to replace the floor tile, I was fortunate to find an accent glass and slate mosaic tile that picked up on the rust palette of the existing floor. The laminate counter top also had very subtle hints of rust embedded in the dark slate-like pattern, pulling the floor, back splash and counter together for a successful combination. Cool grey coloring, strip lighting along with glass shelves give this kitchen the modern feel it was looking for.

Kitchen & Espresso Bar

Warm wood tones and rich black granite counter tops define this once cluttered and unpractical kitchen. It has now been transformed into an efficient space suitable for multiple work stations while the island serves not only as storage and work space, but also as a comfortable seating area to enjoy drinks or a meal with friends and family.

Goodbye 1952...Hello 2015!
This bungalow had a major facelift. The entire home was updated, so budgets were tight! IKEA once again came to the rescue. Smart storage in a kitchen is key. All cabinets have integrated organizational accessories that maximize every inch. A neutral palette was chosen as this unit serves as an Executive Rental Home and the design and decor must appeal to the masses.

Open walls and brighten it up!
White cabinets and sparkling new surfaces have created a sleek new look for this once outdated kitchen. The removal of the wall between kitchen and dining room allowed us the addition of an island for recycling, storage and seating. The neutral palette is timeless and will stand the test of time.

This spacious basement laundry room has amazing organization and storage space. Ikea kitchen cabinets are a stylish and cost effective way of making sure everything has its place for a clutter free room!

This high end luxury condo needed some furnishing and accessories in order to highlight the beautiful space it had to offer. I worked with some of the owner's original art work and some existing furniture, complimented with additional rental pieces and my own decorative accessories which I include in my service.

This is an excellent example of a kitchen remodel that does not reinvent the wheel. The existing layout was kept with the addition of a dishwasher. The homeowner had a budget to respect and we did our best to get the most bang for her buck. The end result is a kitchen that reflects the homeowners taste and blends in nicely with the rest of her home's style and decor.

The neutral pallet is classic and the wood introduces warmth to the space.

This featured home was beautifully designed and constructed by the homeowners themselves and simply needed my personal touch to finish furnishing and decorating it to compliment the style of the home.

A complete renovation of an outdated 1950's bungalow has transformed it into a bright open space with added patio door, larger entry with closet and a new laundry area which once was located behind the dining area, opening onto a  closed in kitchen. 
This new layout and contemporary design is now serving as a comfortable Executive Rental House.

Bathroom - Beacon Hill

Upstairs bedroom was converted into an adjoining ensuite 4 piece master bathroom and walk in closet. The toilet is positioned in what use to be the closet of the original bedroom and benefits the layout be giving a little privacy by being positioned out of the way. The floating vanity provides excellent storage space and the recessed mirrored medicine cabinet is flat to the wall, not overtaking the space above the sink. The neutral palette is timeless and will be welcoming to any new accent color added to space by the new home owner.

Bathroom - McKinley

A dreary old lavender bathroom sees new light with a mirrored cabinet from Home Sense that has been transformed into a custom bathroom vanity. Additional custom shelving is added on the side to provide extra storage and longer counter space. Recessed medicine cabinet provides practical hidden storage without taking up space over the sink.

This bathroom was part of a complete home renovation project. My mail goal was to transform a small, outdated bathroom with virtually no storage, into a practical and elegant bathroom. By taking 30 inches from the adjoining bedroom, this allowed us to relocate the bath tub and gave us room to reposition the toilet closer to the window wall, making room for a decent size vanity. The extra space at the foot of the bath enclosure was designed to store towels and other bathroom accessories.

Two support pillars which could have been problematic where instead used in our favour. We used the opportunity to created a unique wall feature that was not only decorative but also functional. This four-sided structure serves as a support for a wall mounted TV facing the seating area on one side, contains a storage closet for children's toys or seasonal clothing on another, and lastly, is an eye catching feature wall housing three boxed-in shelves for decorative items or books. We did not let the awkward positioning of the metal support pillars stop us form creating a cozy and functional family room, play room, bathroom and laundry room. We maximized every inch!

Outdoors - Patio & Pergolla Oasis

Two tier deck is a little back yard oasis. Cedar wood, retractable Shade FX awning, custom pergola, water feature and solar lighting sets the mood for this relaxing and inviting entertaining space. An old wrought iron head board served as inspiration for the cedar wood bench, allowing curves to be introduced into the design and adding a contrast detail as a focal point.
